STALEY, Sherrie Annette, age 75, of Flint, passed away Friday, November 23, 2012 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Pastor Marvin Herman officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 3-6PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, Diabetes Foundation or Alzheimer's Association. Sherrie was born December 21, 1936 in Flint the daughter of the late Robert E. and Minnie Caroline (Forrest) Lewis. She married Thomas Staley in Flint on June 5, 1972. Sherrie loved animals, especially cats, as she was a Persian cat breeder. Sherrie played piano, and enjoyed her rock garden. She was a friendly lady who loved making new friends. Surviving are her husband, Thomas; daughter, Ginger Simmonds (Douglas) of Millington; son, Jeffrey M. Brabazon of Flint; grandchildren, Justin and Christina; mother-in-law, Marye Staley of Flint; special niece, Terry Urbin (Jim) of Fenton; sister-in-law, Joanne Lewis of Fenton. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lewis. The family extends special thanks to the staff at Genesys Convalescent Center for their professional and patient care.
