Sherri Downie

DOWNIE, Sherri Lynn - Age 66, of Flint, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, May 27, 2022. Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held from 12pm until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.

Sherri was born June 21, 1955 in Flint, the daughter of Dewey and Rosalee (Wollard) Franklin. Sherri was born with a beautiful voice and a love for music and singing. Throughout her life she showed a great sense of humor, was extremely brave, and always sacrificed for her family. Sherri was truly one of a kind. She is survived by her devoted husband of 30 years, Gerald; children, Amber (Jason) Andres and Adam Brophy; grandchildren, Taylor, Keaten and Brooklyn; sister, Pat Sexton; niece, Melissa; nephew, Joey; sisters-in-law, Linda, JoAnne (Butch) and Stephanie (Doug); brother-in-law, Bobby (Brenda) and her beloved dog, Chuck. Special thanks to Stephanie and Doug for their loving care and support. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Chuck Franklin and her best friend, Theresa.
