Shelby Parker

Parker, Shelby Jeane (Roden), age 85 of Swartz Creek, passed away on October 18, 2022.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 24, 2022 at the Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473.  The family will receive guest at the funeral home on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM and on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.  Graveside committal at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery following the service at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions in memory of Shelby may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years; James B. Parker.  Sons; James "Mike" (Colleen), Barry (Cleah) and Larry.  Daughter-in-law; Sunnee.  Grandchildren; Sean, Becky, Melanie, Kyle, Nicole, Cassidy, Mariah, Andrew, Larry David and Tyler.

Mrs. Parker was born on September 25th, 1937 in Lynn Alabama to the late Richard J. and Hazel M. (Rickles) Roden.   She married James Parker on June 17, 1955 and together they were bless with 68 years of a blissful and profitable life.  She liked bowling, going to the casino's and her favorite game was Wheel of Fortune.  But she mostly enjoyed working in the flower beds in her yard.

Shelby was preceded in death by her parents and sons; Steve Parker, Keith Parker and Timothy Parker.  Brother; Dale Roden.
