Shelby Giguere

GIGUERE, Shelby Jean - age 81, of Swartz Creek, died June 3, 2021. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, June 11, 2021 at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Pastor Dan Bowman officiating. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 10 AM - 11 AM Friday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Swartz Creek United Methodist Church.

Shelby was born in Parma, Missouri on February 13, 1940, the daughter of Walter Grimes, Sr. and Landus (Waltrip) Grimes. The family moved to Michigan in 1951. She attended Zimmerman Jr. High and graduated from Flint Central High school class of 1958. She married James (Jim) Giguere on April 27, 1963 in Flint. She retired from Swartz Creek schools in 1998. She was an active member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church and Eve Circle.

Shelby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, who loved line dancing, car shows and hanging with the "Gang" whom she graduated with from Central High School.

Surviving are son; Todd (Sherri) of North Carolina; daughter, Leigh Ann (Mark) Monroe of Harrisville, Michigan; two grandchildren, Scott John Patterson and Jamie Leigh Patterson; 3 great grandchildren; one brother, Keith (Pat) Grimes of Swartz Creek; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Alicene McClare; brother, Walter Grimes, Jr.
