Shelby Bailey

Bailey, Shelby Gean (Clifford) -- of Burton, passed away Saturday March 3, 2018 at the age of 81. Services will be held 5 PM Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Pastor Sarah LaRose Nettell officiating. Visitation will be 12 PM until the time of service Thursday. Shelby was born in Flint, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Rice) Clifford on January 31, 1937. She wed Howard Bailey on February 27, 1954. They were married 57 years before his passing. Shelby worked at Colony Market of Grand Blanc for several years before accepting a position with Bendle Public Schools as a Teacher Aide for Pre-Primary Impaired Children. She worked for Bendle Schools for 18 years. Survivors include, brother, Mickey (Ann) Clifford of New Lothrup; son, Douglas (Tami) Bailey of Grand Blanc; daughter, Sheryl Hurst of Flint; sons, Mitchell Bailey of Burton, Gary (Lori) Bailey and Daniel (Lori) Bailey both of Flint; grandchildren, Anna (Shanda) Bailey, Joshua (Malori) Bailey, Ulrick Hurst, Jacee (Matt) Weber, Brody and Briar Bailey; three great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren.
