Sharon Ann Vlassis

VLASSIS, Sharon Ann - Age 89, of Linden, passed away September 5, 2024. Funeral services will be held 1PM Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Hope Lutheran Church, 7355 Silver Lake Rd., Linden. Pastor Paul Kollek will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of service. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or Hope Lutheran Church. Sharon was born December 20, 1934 in Freeland, MI, the daughter of the late Andrew Wilbert and Gloria (Russo) Vasold. Sharon loved Detroit sports and U of M Football. She was a longtime, active member of Hope Lutheran Church and was lovingly referred to as "Grandma Pickles" by her church family. She is survived by her sons, Barry (Jayne) Vlassis, Brian (Sue) Vlassis and Brad (Cathy) Vlassis; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Warren Vasold; sister-in-law, Vera Vlassis.
