Sharon K. STRNAD

STRNAD, Sharon (Higbee), went home to be with the Lord Wednesday February 1st, 2012 after battling pancreatic cancer for almost two years. A memorial Service will be held Saturday February 4th at Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church 4040 Lapeer Rd in Burton at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church and Brian's House Hospice in Davison. Sharon was born November 9, 1948 in Columbia, South Carolina. She moved to Michigan with her parents Richard and Katherine Higbee in 1949. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1966 and resided in Swartz Creek most of her life. She worked at ATT and Al Bordeau insurance company. She treasured friends, family members, and trips to South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her Father in 2005 and her Mother in 2009. Surviving are her sister and brother in law Zandra and Bob Simons, nephew Josh and Wife Jenny, niece Mary , great niece and nephew Emma and Lincoln Simons, Aunt and Uncle Germain and Bill Knox, aunt Vivian Shealy and several cousins. Sharon, also known to her friends and family as "Sissy, Share Bear, and Aunt She". She will be dearly missed. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek.
