Sharon Kitch

KITCH, Sharon Ann (Smith) - Age 84, of Swartz Creek, formerly of New Albany, IN, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020. Cremation has taken place and private burial will take place in Bendle Cemetery. Memorial service will be announced for a later date by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek.

Sharon was born on February 6, 1936 in New Albany, IN the daughter of John and Doriene (Merritt) Smith. She graduated from New Albany High School. Sharon and George Kitch were united in marriage on October 22, 1955 in New Albany. She was a member of the Flushing Moose Lodge and a den mother for the Boy Scouts of America. In her free time, she enjoyed making and decorating cakes.

She is survived by her 4 children, Kevin Kitch, Kimberly (Kevin) Shea, Darrell Kitch and Karen Wendt; 5 grandchildren, Ryan (Sheila) Candy, Andrew Howard, Brennen Kitch, Madison Wendt and Savannah Wendt; 2 great-grandchildren, Vincent and Victoria; sister, Barbara; 2 brothers, Jimmy and John III; dog, Princess; and several nieces and nephews.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, George; 2 sons, Brian and Richard Kitch; and parents, John and Doriene Smith; brother, John Jr; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernest and Bernice Kitch. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
