Sharon Jane Hodge

Sharon Jane Hodge (Moore), 77, of Grand Blanc passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 7, 2024, in Southfield, Michigan surrounded by her four daughters. 

Sharon was born July 3, 1946, to Straud and Genevieve Moore in Flint, MI. She graduated from Flint Southwestern High School.

She worked for General Motors for many years before retiring from Orion Assembly in 2007. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching birds for hours on end – especially hummingbirds, planting flowers, and sitting on her front porch, socializing. If she was on her porch and you walked by, she would talk to you and could talk for hours. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughters Kimberly Hodge of Lapeer, Rhonda Summers (Ron) of Grand Blanc, Robin Casady of Mount Morris, and April Hirst of Marathon, FL; eight grandchildren, Krystle Holleman, Denysha Richard, Marissa Hirst, Micheal Moore III, Brianna Hirst, Ronnie Summers, Anthony Summers, and Maria Lewis; and five great-grandchildren, Ciala, Kaylee, Ayden, Daliah, and Zinnia. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Clyde Moore and Russell Moore.

Her family would like to extend their gratitude to The Care Team, especially her long-time special caregivers, Brandy and Dionne for all of their love and support. 

Per Sharon’s wishes, cremation will take place with no service and a private memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
