Sharon Hinze

February 20, 1945 — March 15, 2015

HINZE, Sharon Arlene - age 70, of Linden, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at her residence. Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, March 18, 2014 at Hope Lutheran Church, 7355 Silver Lake Road, Linden with Pastor Jim Rolf officiating. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10 AM - 11 AM Wednesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Hope Lutheran Oasis Program. Mrs. Hinze was born February 20, 1945 in Flint, the daughter of Elmer A. and Annabelle Eva (Howe) Frick and was a 1963 graduate of Clarkston High School. She married Paul Hinze on December 29, 1984 and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2011. Mrs. Hinze retired from K-Mart as a Department Manager. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and the Vice-President of the Women's Guild. Mrs. Hinze was a caregiver to her family and enjoyed her grandchildren and their sporting events. She also enjoyed nature, feeding birds, squirrels and other critters, cooking baking and canning. Surviving are: four children, Edward Farnsworth of Linden, Thomas (Chay) Farnsworth of Linden, Sherrianne (Dan) Smarch of Gregory, Shannon Farnsworth of Port Huron; two step-daughters, Michelle (Denny) Akers of IN, Stephanie Dudek of Union Lake; 17 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; extended family, Troy and Shelly Richert and Theresa Huff; five siblings, Ron (Grace) Frick of CO, Joyce Hoffman of FL, Jeanette (Norm) Haustein of FL, Roger (Karen) Frick of FL and Marlene Torretti of FL; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her parents; four brothers, Jerry, Milton, Marvin and Melvin. Friends may share an online tribute on the obituary page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
