Sharon Marie Hartwick

HARTWICK, Sharon Marie, age 56, of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at home. Funeral Service will be 2PM Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Sharon was born August 26, 1951 the daughter of Grant and Geraldine (O'Leary) Hartwick. She was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University earning Bachelors and  Masters Degrees in special education. She was a supremely dedicated teacher for nearly 30 years in the Swartz Creek Community Schools. Sharon was a terrific painter who also enjoyed cross-stitch and basket weaving. Part of Sharon lives on in all the people with whom she shared her special gifts as a teacher and friend. She will be sorely missed. Surviving are her 2 uncles, William O'Leary of Burton, Harry Hartwick (Harriet) of Deford; 2 aunts, Irene Petty of Flint, Patricia Cook of Davison; cousins, Linda Jordan of Swartz Creek, Betty Anderson (Bill) of Davison, Kathy Cook of Lapeer; and many additional loving family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant twin sister at birth.
