GRIFFITHS, Sharon Kay - Age 70, of Lennon, died Friday, January 23, 2015. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4101 Calkins Road, Flint. Fr. Pierre T. Bassil celebrant. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Tuesday from 1-9 PM and at church Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. A Incense service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Sharon was born January 5, 1945 in Flint the daughter of Clifford N. and Laura C. (George) Arnold. She was a graduate of Ainsworth High School and received an Associates Degree in Business from Mott Community College. She married Robert Griffiths on May 23, 1970 in Flint. Sharon retired as Head Cashier in 1989 from Hamady's after 25 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, where she also was a member of the Altar Society. She had resided in the Flint area her entire life. Surviving are: her husband of 45 years, Robert; she was blessed with a wonderful son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and wife Teresa Griffiths of Ortonville; two precious grandchildren, Amanda and Alex; sister, Beverly and husband Dan Dickerson of Arizona; special sister-in-law, Debie Arnold; special "Big Sister", Nina MacGillivray; 2 brothers-in-law, Tom and Larry; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Laura Arnold; brother, Anthony "Tony" Arnold; and sister-in-law, Janet.
