Sharman L. Tyson-Bennett

Sharman L. Tyson-Bennett, age 55, of Flint, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, starting at 10AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 11AM at Sharp Funeral Home Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road in Swartz Creek. Service will be officiated by David Mulherin, pastor of Hilltop Church of God. Sharman will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Wesley at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Sharman was born on February 11, 1968, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Clata & Freda Tyson. As of late Sharman could be found enjoying her home life and spending time with friends and family, but her earlier years were another story. They were filled with travel and making memories alongside her beloved husband Wes. She enjoyed many hobbies including reading, crochet and gardening. She treasured her time with her loved ones and was a big rock and country music fan. 

She is survived by her three children, Kristie (Jason) DeLong, Allyson Ketchum and Michael Ketchum; six grandchildren, Kyle, Maia, Brady, Owen, Marceline and Tyr; two siblings, Jeannie (Kevin) Cummings and Kenny Tyson; her stepsiblings, Galen Sothen Jr, Sherry (Sandy) Sothen, Gary (Karen) Sothen and Ron Sothen. Sharman is survived by many other dear family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley; brother, Clata Tyson and her stepfather, Galen Sothen Sr.
