Seth Payton

It is with bittersweet emotions we announce the passing of Seth from life on earth to everlasting life in heaven. Seth passed at home with family by his side and he is now present with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Seth's prayers for healing have been answered as he is now whole, healthy and enjoying life with his new body! We imagine he is playing music and praising God with other talented musicians, just waiting for those of us left behind to join him in celebration. Seth studied music with his saxophone at SVSU but was also a self-taught, accomplished musician whose passion to play many styles of music and instruments was extraordinary! His ready smile, sense of humor and compassionate spirit endeared him to everyone who met him. There are two things Seth would most want you to remember about him. The first was his faith in Jesus Christ. The second was his love for his family, especially his ten-year- old daughter Faith and his mother Michele. Seth was also deeply appreciative of the many extraordinary family members who helped care for him, not only in his last months on earth but throughout his lifetime and he loved them deeply. For those of us left behind, while we will miss Seth dearly, we rejoice in his freedom from pain and suffering. We look forward to seeing him again soon! Seth is a beloved son of Terrance (deceased) and Michele Payton and father of Faith Audrey Payton. He preceeds his five siblings in passing; Terry, LaWanda, DeWayne, Fleming and William. Seth has an abundance of other loving family members including his maternal grandmother Oneitta Young, step-grandfather Charles Young (deceased), paternal grandfather Glenn Forester, step-grandmother Susan Forester, paternal grandparents William Payton, Jr., and Louise Buford who preceded him in passing, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. We wish to acknowledge and extend a special note of appreciation to all of Seth's wonderful friends who are to numerous to name individually. You have supported Seth and his family during this long journey with prayers, your physical presence and financially. Thank you. Seth was truly a Blessed man!
