SMITH, Scott Robert, age 42, of Traverse City, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Munson Medical Center. Services will be 1:00PM Friday, March 9, 2012 at Christ United Methodist Church, 1249 3 Mile Rd., Traverse City. Pastor Dianne Doten-Morrison officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Munson Medical Center Cancer Unit. Scott was born April 4, 1969 in Flint the son of Robert and Carole (Rothenberger) Smith. He loved the spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing and boating were his favorites. Surviving are his mother, Carole of Fenton; brother, David Smith (Pam) of Billings, Montana; 2 sisters, Barbara Ballard (Ron) of Flushing, Linda Johnson (Jeff) of Flushing, 9 nieces and nephews; He was preceded in death by his father, Robert on March 1, 2012; sister, Nancy Hurst in 2009; grandparents, Edwin and Hilda Smith, Dale and Alma Rothenberg.
