Sarah VON MACH

VON MACH, Sarah - Age 92, of Fenton, died Saturday, December 24, 2011 at her residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held at the church Thursday from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John G.I.F.T. Campaign. Mrs. Von Mach was born December 10, 1919 in Detroit, the daughter of William and Jane (Halbert) Good. She was a graduate of the University of Detroit. She was one of the first female police officers in the City of Detroit. Sarah Good married Edward Richard Von Mach October 10, 1953 in Detroit and he preceded her in death April 5, 2010. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Surviving are: 3 children, Mary Jo and husband Peter Griffith of Summit, NJ, Kurt and wife Joanne Von Mach of Birmingham and Karen and husband Paul Foguth of Linden; 9 grandchildren, Thomas, Spencer, James, Chelsea, Adam, Tara, Alex, Matt and Joe; 1great granddaughter, Ava; sister, Margaret Van Akker of Seattle, WA.
