Sara Shelby

SHELBY, Sara Leslie-Wrai - age 37, of Grand Blanc passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021.  Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held  2-8 PM Friday, and 1-2 PM Saturday.  Sara was born November 25, 1982 in Flint, the daughter of Lester Shelby and Judy (Green) Shelby. Sara graduated from Bentley High School. Sara was not a registered organ donor but her mother Judy knew Sara would want to help other people.She loved people, music, animals and her family especially her two daughters Makayla and Karie.  Even though the decision to choose Gift of Life is difficult, at this time in Michigan more than 3,000 people are in desperate need of a transplant. Sara passed of Cardiac Arrest due to excessive water on her heart and lungs. Shelby is survived by: daughter, Makayla Bowman (Kyle Fenner); her cat Bella Kitty; mother Judy Shelby; father Lester (Melinda) Shelby; brother, Steve (Robin) Shelby and their children, Ev, Teddy, Aundrayce; sister, Ashley Shelby; grandfather, Bill Green;  many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that loved her very much; and special friends, Kelly Allen Clark and Sherry Moore-Crossen who loved her like she was their daughter. Sara was preceded in death by her daughter, Karie Lee Bowman; grandparents, Devon and Nadine Shelby; and Retta Green.Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
