Sara Nannette Beren

BEREN, Sara Nannette -- Age 92, of Flint, died August 17, 2011 at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. Services will be 2 PM Friday August 19 at Machpelah Cemetery, Flint. Rabbi Karen Companez officiating. Mrs. Beren was born March 29, 1919 in Flint the daughter of Joseph and Bessie (Benison) Frumkin. She had resided in the Flint area her entire life. She married Isadore Beren on June 1, 1947 in Flint; he preceded her in death May 11, 1978. She operated Brides Etc. in Flint until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of Temple Beth El, Temple Beth El Sisterhood, and was a past president of Hadassah. Surviving are: three children, Joel and wife Anna of Baltimore, MD, Roberta and husband Jeff Rackliff of Atlanta, GA, Paul of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren; sister Reva Wexler of Detroit; brother Ben Frumkin of Detroit. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers-in-law Max Wexler and Jack Eserow; brother William Frumkin; sister Florence Eserow; and sisters-in-law Violet Frumkin and Jackie Frumkin.
