Sandra Kay Jones

Jones, Sandra Kay - Age 72, of Fenton, passed away March 4, 2025. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy Street, Fenton, Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Visitation will be held 4:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton and from 10:00 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the church.

Sandra was born March 21, 1952, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Floyd and Ida (Harvey) Stayt. She was a 1970 graduate of Fenton High School. Sandra served as a 911 Dispatcher for the Michigan State Police and then she went on to be a receptionist and switchboard operator at McLaren Hospital in Flint. She was a devoted attendee of the Fenton United Methodist Church. An avid nature lover, Sandra enjoyed butterflies, hummingbirds and feeding wildlife, especially the birds and squirrels. She was a member of the Fenton Beautification Committee and the Shiawassee River Clean Up Committee.

She is survived by her husband, Alvin Jones; three children, Louis (Nicole) Albrant, Nicole (John) Baxter, and Corbin Jones; stepson, Alvin (Rana) Jones Jr.; eight grandchildren, Caitlyn (Matt), Kurowski, Zachary (Megan) Albrant, Johnathon Baxter, Samantha Baxter, Laura Albrant, Jacob (Kayde) Baxter, DaNaya Jones, and Madelynn Jones; great-grandson, Eddie Kurowski and a soon to be born great-granddaughter; siblings, Kenneth Stayt, Judith Stayt, Rebecca Jeffers (John Nolkemper), and Alan (Maria) Stayt; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
