Sandra Jennings

JENNINGS, Sandra Sue - Age 80, of Fenton, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023.  A service to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 PM Friday, April 14, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton (A live stream of the service will be available on Sandy's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Fr. Sandy was born June 19, 1942 in Jackson, MI the daughter of Robert and Cora "Elizabeth" (Curtis) Stewart.  She was a 1961 graduate of Robert Mandeville High School in Flint and she attended Cleary College in Ypsilanti.  She married Stuart James Jennings September 23, 1961 in Fenton.  Sandy had resided in Fenton since 1954 coming from Jackson.  She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society.  She was very active in coaching youth girl softball and she was a den mother for the Cub Scouts.  She enjoyed fishing and golfing.  Sandy also loved to sail, both soft water and hard water (ice sailing); she was a National Champion of both.

Surviving are: her husband of 61 years, Stuart James; daughters, Tracy Jennings of Fenton and Wendy Jennings of Temecula, CA; son, Stuart Kris Jennings of Warner Springs, CA; grandchildren, Jordan (Justeen) Jennings of Encinitas, CA, Connor Hicks of Clarkston, Mekenzie Jennings of Winter Park, FL, Madison Jennings of Winter Park, FL, Trevor Hicks of Clarkston and Corey Koscinski of Winter Park, FL. great granddaughter, Addison Kate Jennings; brother, Robert Stewart; sister, Carol Stewart; several nieces and nephews; and her furbaby, Diego.
