Sandra Himelhoch

Himelhoch, Sandra Jeanette - Age 78, of Flint, died Sunday, May 27, 2018. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint, Mr. Leonard Meizlish officiating. Interment in Machpelah Cemetery, Flint. Sandra was born on August 2, 1939 in Braddock, PA the daughter of Edward and Ethel (Grossman) Polk. She was married to Robert Lloyd Himelhoch on June 26, 1960; he preceded her in death March 25, 2008. She had resided in Flint since 1958. Sandra was a member of Congregation Beth Israel, B'nai B'rith, ORT, and Hadassah. She also enjoyed volunteering for Seniors, ESL for Immigrants, and helped prepare meals for the homebound. Surviving are two children, Alan (Sharon) Himelhoch of Grand Blanc , Gail (Steven) Johnson of Holly; five grandchildren, Alexandra (Erik) Abraham, Monica Valencia (Michael Ely), Casey Johnson, Jill Himelhoch, Ava Himelhoch; one great grandchild, Vanessa Abraham; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Faye Ellen Valencia; brothers, Melvin and Leonard Polk.
