Sandra Emerick

EMERICK, Sandra Lee (Herronen) - Age 73, passed away on February 8, 2017 at her home in Linden. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, February 11 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Chaplain Goodman Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM Friday and 9AM until the time of service on Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Genesee County. Sandy was born in Flint on January 20, 1944, and graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1962. She worked for many years as a cosmetologist and was a co-owner and instructor at Fenton School of Hair Design. Sandy and her husband Gary Herronen were members of the Eagles Aerie 2460 of Fenton. She was a lifetime member of the Fenton VFW. Sandy was known for her generous hospitality and was beloved by many friends and acquaintances in Byron and Linden. Sandy enjoyed boating and fishing on Lobdell Lake where she lived. She loved country music and enjoyed karaoke and singing with the band in Dade City, FL. She loved her dog, Patches. Sandy was predeceased by her parents, Herschell and Flora Ballard of Flint; her brother, Robert; her first husband, Robert Pratt Jr.; and her second husband, Neal Emerick. Her memory is now cherished by her husband, Gary Herronen; children, Ninette (Lorne) Carignan and Rick (Becky) Pratt; stepchildren, Vicki (David) Kenworthy, Pam (Gary) Loder, Brad (Sue) Emerick, Jeff (Jill) Emerick, Jack Herronen, Joe Herronen and Keri Patrello; nephew, Bobby Ballard; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
