Sandra Costello

COSTELLO, Sandra Ann -- Age 72 of Swartz Creek, passed into heaven December 9, 2014 after a courageous battle with Esophageal Cancer. Services will be held 5 PM Wednesday December 17 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 3 PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute. Sandra was born March 5, 1942 in Flint the daughter of Russell and Lois (Rau) Shay. She married James "Mike" Costello in Saginaw on March 26, 1960. Sandra retired from Flint Osteopathic Hospital and Genesys Health Park after 27 years of combined service in the Dietary Department.She loved her North place on the water. Surviving are: husband of 54 years Mike Costello; children, Michelle Costello, Michael (Angela) Costello, Tonya (Kenneth) Voakes; her treasured 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren with a 4th due April 2015; siblings, Marleen (Wayne) Davis, Chuck (Jeanie Toney) Shay, Patricia (Dan) Monroe, Mike (Susie) Shay; aunt, Joanne (Jerry) McKenzie; many nieces and nephews and cousins; many brother and sister in-laws; godchildren Julie Halleck, Brandi Hodge and Morgan Monroe.
