Sally Ann HANSON

HANSON, Sally Ann -- Age 65, of Grand Blanc, died December 11, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Saturday, December 15 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday, 2-8 PM Friday, 10 AM until time of funeral Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of choice that helps the needy. Sally was born March 26, 1947 in Flint the daughter of Ellwood and Jean (DeSonia) Steihr. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Catholic School. She was married to Bill Hanson on July 23, 1965 in Flint; he preceded her in death January 24, 2004. She had resided in the Flint area her entire life. Her life passion was being a mom and grandma. Surviving are: children, Amy Hanson, Will Hanson, Ashley Hanson; granddaughter Tiffani VanDorn; siblings, Thomas Steihr of Flint, Susan and husband Michael Beattie of Flint and Traverse City; Toby Steihr of Flint, Terry and husband Gary Davidson of St. Helen; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Gwen Frank of Linden; sisters-in-law, Kathy and husband Ed Huot, Karen Herford; and dear family friend Rocky. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Stephanie; brother Timothy; special grandparents Sally and Bill DeSonia; and husband Bill Hanson.
