It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Saffron Nplaim Kub Chang, age 4, of Orion Township, who left us on September 15, 2024. A viewing and memorial service will be held at Hmong Heritage Hall on Sunday, September 29th, starting at 9 AM. The funeral service will take place on Monday, September 30th, at 11 AM, also at Hmong Heritage Hall, located at G4138 Corunna Road, Flint, Michigan. A graveside service will follow immediately at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made in Saffron's memory through https://www.gofundme.com/f/funeral-expenses-for-saffron-chang, graciously set up by Brandon Tolson Foundation referred by Caliber Autism - Best ABA Therapy Center. Saffron had an adventurous and cheerful spirit with a special love for Mickey & Minnie Mouse, cherished her feathered chicken friends, and found endless joy in the world of puzzles. Many of her favorite moments were lost in the pages of "Brown Bear, Brown Bear," where her bright imagination would roam free. With a courageous heart, she worked tirelessly to overcome her learning difficulties, and with the support of Caliber Autism Therapy Center, the milestones she achieved-like saying “Mom” and singing “Happy Birthday”-will forever be celebrated in our memories. Saffron is survived by her loving parents, Wang Chang and Julie Yang, and her adoring younger brother, Soren. She also leaves behind a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents who loved her dearly and will carry her spirit with them always. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Chong Yang, and her great-grandmother, Ze Xiong, both of whom welcomed her with open arms.
