Ruth Marie Wood

WOOD, Ruth Marie  Age 79, of Flint, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Brians House Hospice. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, May 28, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd. with Pastor Linda Moffett officiating. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Thursday and 1-4 and 6-9 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Shriners Childrens Hospital. Mrs. Wood was born June 5, 1925 in Flint, the daughter of Dewitt and Blanche (Cousins) Lawrence. She married Earl O. Wood on November 11, 1941. Mrs. Wood was an avid bowler and was inducted in the Flint Bowling Hall of Fame. She was past secretary of the 600 Club and a charter member of Davison Tin Lizzy Unit. Surviving are: husband, Earl O. Wood; son, James Wood; daughter, Bonnie Rose, all of Flint; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Vivian Ogden of Dewitt.
