Ruth Ann Schneider

Schneider, Ruth Ann - Age 84, of Fenton, passed away Saturday July 27, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, August 2, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Visitation will be held 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1 at the funeral home. Ruth will be laid to rest with her husband at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Ruth's honor to Genesee County Humane Society or South Mundy United Methodist Church. Ruth was born July 17, 1940 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Mabel F. Seldon and Ora R. Montague. She graduated from Mandeville High School in 1958. She retired from Lake Fenton Schools and Tri-County Times. She married George R. Schneider in 1959. Together they raised four children. Scott Schneider of Gaines, Michelle Schneider of Fenton, Julie (Bob) Vaughn of Linden, Curtis Schneider of Grand Blanc, and very dear to her heart extended family, Ed, Helen, and Leena Hornlein of Gilbert, AZ. She was a member of South Mundy Methodist Church. She loved working in the yard, playing cards, gambling, boat rides, and playing with Little Man, her Shitzu. Ruth's warm smile and compassionate heart touched all who knew her. She was truly the matriarch of the family. She was preceded in death by husband George, six siblings Wendell Montague, Larry Montague, Lenora Elias, Beverly Dzurak, Phyllis Lovejoy, and Marlene Jones.
