Ruth Alice Mathis

MATHIS, Ruth Alice  Age 73, of Flint, died Saturday, November 8, 2003 at Genesys Health Park. A celebration of life service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. (just south of Hill Rd.), Flint. Interment of cremains will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of service Wednesday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Ruth was born February 4, 1930 in Albany, KY, the daughter of Chester Ray and Viba (Lee) Thompson. She was a 1949 graduate of Oscoda High School and had lived in Flint since 1950. Surviving are: four children, Debra and husband Mike Brown, Kathy and husband Mike Best all of California, James and wife Carrie Foust of Flushing, Jeffrey Mathis of Flint; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
