Ruth Irene JACKSON

JACKSON, Ruth Irene, age 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Medilodge in Sterling Heights. Gathering of family and friends will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Ruth was born September 25, 1920 in Campbell, Missouri, the daughter of the late Virgle M. and Gertrude (Hill) Derositt. She married R.D. Jackson in Flint on June 29, 1939 and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1973. Ruth was raised in Missouri and moved to Flint when she married. She was a loving mother, and friend to her daughters. Ruth will be missed dearly and loving remembered by all her family. Surviving are her two daughters, Brenda Shirilla and husband, Steve of Detroit, Doris Butler and husband, Lee of Florida; three grandchildren, Troy Winter and wife, Penny of Durand, Cammie Cantrell and husband, Douglas of Coleman, Alabama, Ray Flanagin Jr. and wife, Stephanie of Holly; and several great-grandchildren.
