Ruth Margaret HARTWELL

Hartwell, Ruth Margaret, age 92, of Durand, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Funeral service will be 11AM Friday, July 1, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association or the charity of ones choice. Ruth was born in Bay City the daughter of John and Margaret (McKnight) Black. She married Gerald Hartwell on April 8, 1941. He preceded her in death May 10, 2006. She had been an RN at Hurley Hospital and Mott Childrens Clinic. She is survived by 3 daughters, Carol (Jim) Curtis, Ellen (Pat) Davidson, Shirley Savoie; she leaves 7 grandchildren, Wendy (Lynn) Kram, Gary (Julie) Davidson, Bud (Tara) Davidson, Nicole (Kurt) Peel, Christopher Savoie, Jim (Lisa) Curtis, Brian (Jaime) Curtis and 21 great-grandchildren.
