Ruth Goff

GOFF, Ruth May- Age 86, of Linden, died Monday, August 3, 2015. Per Ruth's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Born in the Village of Milford on April 15, 1929, to parents Solon and Elsie (Bucknell) Gibson, she was the fourth of five siblings. Being an independent spirit, she left the small town life behind upon graduation. She moved to Pontiac MI and her love of music led to her first job at Gallagher's music store, where she met and later married Donald C. Goff on August 19, 1950. She also lived in Waterford MI, Union Lake MI, Tucson AZ and Iuka MS before returning to the quiet life of Linden MI. She enjoyed playing the piano, the organ and singing, and did so as a member of Stringham Missionary Church in Waterford for many years. Always good with numbers, she pursued employment in finance and worked for the Pontiac Co-op Credit Union and the Walled Lake School payroll dept. Ruth is survived by her children, Michael (Katherine) Goff of Goffburg, Gary (Cathy) Goff of Ten Mile TN, Debra (Kris) Oswald of Linden; grandchildren, Kristopher, Kelly, Tony and Brandy; great-granddaughter, Amber; brother, Howard Gibson of Fenton.
