Ruth A. FITZKO

FITZKO, Ruth Ann - Age 65, of Byron, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial immediately following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Gaines. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 5-8 PM and Friday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM where a Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Durand Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3851. Ruth Ann was born November 28, 1943 in Flint, the daughter of Guy Thomas and Margaret Eva (Graham) Shaw. She married Daniel Fitzko May 2, 1963 in Durand. She had resided in Byron for the past 30 years coming from Gaines. Ruth Ann was a member of Durand Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3851 and Durand Moose Lodge #2508. Surviving are: husband, Daniel; son, Karl D. Fitzko of Byron; daughter, Karla M. Fitzko of Flint; grandson, Andrew D. Fitzko; granddaughter, Megan Grace Fitzko; sister, Charlene Jones of Flint; brother-in-law, David and wife Dorothy Fitzko of Lennon; several nieces and nephews.
