Ruth E. Erickson

ERICKSON, Ruth E.  Age 88, of Oscoda, formerly of Rankin, died Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at Crestmont Nursing Care Facility. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, October 3, 2003 at Salem Lutheran Church, 2610 Martin Luther King Ave., Flint, Rev. Thulisiwe Beresford officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimers Association or Salem Lutheran Church. Mrs. Erickson was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. She had lived in Oscoda the past 20 years, where she attended and was active in Hope Lutheran Church. She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years. Surviving are: two children, Douglas J. Erickson of Davison, Christine K. and Donald Baxter of Fenton; four granddaughters, Cynthia J. and Russ Phillips of Swartz Creek, Elizabeth and Tom Kato of Fenton, Bridget and Ron Brooks of Maple Grove, MN, Erin Erickson of Grand Blanc; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon and Delaney Brooks, Mackenzie, Max and Tanner Kato, Micah and Macy Phillips. Mrs. Erickson was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Erickson on August 16, 1998.
