Russell J. Whitehead

WHITEHEAD, Russell J.  Age 73, of Linden, died Monday, June 27, 2005 in Lady Lake, FL. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Thursday, 1-4 & 6-8 PM Friday. Russell was born July 6, 1931 in Flint, the son of William Mathias and Della Mary (Lasser) Whitehead. Mr. Whitehead was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. He owned and Operated Whitehead Printing Company in Fenton for 30 years. He had resided in Linden for many years, spending the past 7 winters at The Villages in Lady Lake, FL. Surviving are: wife, Agatha; 3 children, Kelly (Nancy) Whitehead, Judy (Jerry) Entrekin, Keith (Celia) Whitehead; 8 grandchildren, Abria, Kelly, Jason, Lisa, Lindsey, Eric, Scott, Sarah; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Whitey (Nancy) Whitehead, William Whitehead, Carl (Nellie) Whitehead, Barbara (Leroy) Tankersley, Patricia (John) Rickord, Jim Whitehead, Doug Stephenson, Gordy (Chris) Stephenson. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Cox; brothers, Robert Whitehead and Jerry Stephenson.
