MORTON, Russell Burton - age 85, of Linden, died July 11, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, July 15, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with Rev. Dean Dumbrille officiating. Interment will follow at Sharp Cemetery. Visitation will be held 3 PM - 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Morton was born August 9, 1933 in Linden, the son of Clarence and Lera (Smith) Morton. He was a graduate of Hartland High School, attended Central Michigan University and was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Morton married Gloria Ruth Thompson on June 25, 1955 and she preceded him in death on October 27, 2007. He retired from General Motors Truck and Bus as a Supervisor in 1987. Surviving are: three children, Russell (Kathleen) Morton of Edmond, OK, Dean (Nancy) Morton of Fenton, and Lisa Stidham of Fenton; seven grandchildren, Jason, Lance, Brad, Shanna, Dean, Barbara and Alesia; many great-grandchildren.
