CRISSMAN, Russell Dwaine, age 79, of Swartz Creek, passed away Sunday December 27, 2009 at home. Funeral Services will be 11AM Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Fr. Roy Horning officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Roberts Catholic Church. Russell was born August 1, 1930 in Hays, Kansas the son of the late Wilfred and Blanche (Billings) Crissman. He married Esther Grzeck in 1956 and she preceded him in death in 2003. Russell was employed by General Motors in Plant Security until his retirement in 1985. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and had performed in local community theatre groups. His greatest love was for his family, especially his two grandsons and dog, Fritzie. Surviving are his son, Scott Crissman of Flint; daughter, Christine (James) Newman of Clio; 2 grandsons, James Russell Newman and Nicholas John Newman; and all the loving members of the Grzeck family.
