Russell Charles CONKLIN

CONKLIN, Russell Charles - Age 71, of Fenton, died December 8, 2013. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, Fr. Dwight Ezop celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery, Howell. Visitation will be held 7-9 PM Monday, 2-5 & 7-9 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with a Rosary at 7 PM. Visitation will also be held 10 AM until the time of mass on Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the St. John School Building Fund. Russell was born June 27, 1942 in Flint, the son of Charles and Georgean (Russell) Conklin. Russell was a 1960 graduate of Fenton High School and attended Mott Community College. He retired from the Fenton Police Department in 1995 after 25 years of service. Russell was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He loved to hunt and fish. Surviving are: wife, Phyllis; children, Debbie Conklin of Linden, Jennifer (Frank) Conklin Brulla of Richfield Twp.; step-children, Joellen Rhyndress of North Muskegon, Jeff (Eleshia) Evans of Grosse Pointe Woods; grandchildren, Jory, Noah, Aidan, Joseph, Josiah, Jessica and Easton; brother, Ron (Diane) Conklin; nieces, Jill (Jeff) Schafer, Erin Conklin.
