AYRES, Russell Martin 'Rusty' -- Age 49, of Grand Blanc, died Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11824 Saginaw Rd. Grand Blanc. Fr. James Swiat celebrant. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Sunday, 2-5 and 6-8 PM Monday with a 7 PM Vigil service Monday at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint (Just South of Hill Rd.) Visitation will be held at the church from 9 AM until the time of the Mass Tuesday. Interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Midland. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Family Outreach Fund. Mr. Ayres was born in Cass City on November 25, 1956 the son of N. Russell and June Shirley (Hardisty) Ayres. He had resided in the Grand Blanc area for the past 30 years. He graduated from Midland High School and Mott Community College. Mr. Ayres was employed by General Motors in skilled trades at Grand Blanc Metal. Fab. He loved water sports and fishing. Surviving are his parents N. Russell and June Ayres of Midland; special friend Mary Serko of Grand Blanc; four sisters Mary and husband Scott Rule of Marquette, Susan M.. and husband Angelo Genovesi of Grand Blanc, Jan A. Ayres of Midland, Ann and husband John Johnson of Marquette; two aunts Lillian Reeves and Ginger Ayres; uncle Dan Hardisty and wife Lois of New York; many nieces and nephews.
