Rudolph D. Mills

MILLS, Rudolph Don - Age 84, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, May 11, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2PM Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at New Haven Baptist Church, 1477 E. Bristol Rd., Burton with Pastor Larry Rednower officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8PM Monday and Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Mr. Mills was born July 26, 1922 in Hutchinson, Minnesota the son of Frank and Mary (Chekal) Sebeslavsky. He married Dorothy Louise Hoskey on December 24, 1946 in Flint and had been a resident of Swartz Creek since 1985. Rudy was employed by General Motors as an Electrician for 34 years, retiring in 1980. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. Rudy was a Life Member of VFW Post 3243 and a member of New Haven Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Dorothy; 6 children, Carol and husband Wes Harvey of Florida, Larry D. Mills of Flint, Ronald Mills, Sr. and wife Cheryl of Midland and Florida, Donna and husband Ed Sasser of Florida, Roger and wife Jeri Mills of Davison, Roger Mills, Jr and wife Kristen of Grand Blanc; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, John Mills of California, 2 sisters, Blanche Liska of Arizona, Agnes Rettiman of Minnesota; many nieces and nephews.
