Ruby Lester

LESTER, Ruby - age 83, of Fenton, Michigan formally of Wolford, Virginia passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Tendercare of Leelanau in Suttons Bay, Michigan. She was born on October 5, 1934, in Virginia, the daughter of James and Nettie Estep. She married Thurman Lester on May 23, 1953. This past May would have been 64 years together for the Lesters. Ruby had a great love for God and her family. She was very nurturing. Ruby is survived by her children, Danny (Jeanette) Lester of Fenton, Debra (Alan) Campbell of Lake Leelanau, Michael (Samantha) Lester of North Carolina; 6 grandchildren, Brenda (Mike) Miller, Chuck (Sonya) Justice, Amanda Hall, Ashley Perry, Aaron Lester, Skylar Lester and 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thurman, her parents, grandson Dan and 5 siblings. The celebration of Ruby's life will be held at 11 am. Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
