Ruby Hensley

HENSLEY, Ruby June -- Age 87, of Swartz Creek, died December 6, 2015. Memorial service will be held 6PM Thursday December 10 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Lung Association. Ruby was born April 9, 1928 in Flint the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Earnsting) Thompson. Ruby married Jack D. Hensley. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2009. She resided in the Flint Area her entire life. She was employed by GM in the Unit Room for 30 years of service retiring in 1984. She is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara Grooms (Larry Hipkins) of Flint Twp, Nancy (Frank) Parkin of Swartz Creek; sister, Rola Wilson of Arkansas; 3 grandchildren, Darren Thompson, Boyd (Corinne) Grooms, Chris (Doug) Carey; 5 great-grandchildren; Bronte Grooms, Austen Grooms, Chase Grooms, Jackson Carey, Olivia Carey, as well as niece, Charleen Thompson-Pemberton.
