GILLEY, Ruby Marie, age 84, of Burton, passed away Monday, February 11, 2008 at home. Funeral Services will be 11AM Friday, February 15, 2008 at South Flint Tabernacle Church, G-3450 S. Saginaw St., Burton. Rev. Robert Henson officiating. The family will receive friends 10AM Friday until time of service at the church. Interment will follow in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-8PM and Thursday 11AM-3PM and 5-8PM at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to South Flint Tabernacle Church, The American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer's Association. Ruby was born August 14, 1923 in Brookland, Arkansas the daughter of Aubrey and Doris (Sims) Adams. She married Dabner C. Gilley on August 4, 1942 in Jonesboro, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on February 19, 1976. Ruby was a member of South Flint Tabernacle Church, a Courtland Center Mall Walker for over 15 years and she owned and operated South Dort Antiques. Surviving are her 5 children, Shirley Smith (Andy) of Flint, Linda Snellenberger (John) of Grand Rapids, Dorothy Davis (Donald) of Lapeer, Loretta Bach (Nick) of Flint, Roger Gilley of Flint; 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Dora Gilley; brother, Andrew Adams; 2 sisters, Pauline Barnett and Vauldine Snyder. The family extends thanks to the Comfort Keepers, especially Ann Marie Peterson and Shawn at Heartland Hospice Care for the loving care they provided Ruby.
