Roy Preslar

PRESLAR, Roy V. - age 88 of Fenton, formerly of Grand Blanc, passed away August 20, 2019. Memorial Services will be 2PM Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Phil Martyn officiating. Visitation will be1PM until time of service Saturday. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.

Roy was born March 7, 1931 in Flint, the son of Virgil R. and Clara N. (Napper) Preslar. He graduated from Flint Central High School in 1951. Roy married Ivah Jean Rodabaugh in Flint on May 31, 1952. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Roy later graduated from GMI with an Engineering Degree. He retired from Equifax. Roy enjoyed retirement with Jean for many years in Winter Haven, FL. He was a member of the VFW Post in Grand Blanc and the Grand Blanc Senior Center.

Surviving are: his daughter, Susanne J. Canning; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Tyler Canning and Sean Patrick (Faith Leanne) Canning; and several nieces and nephews.
