MACMORRAN, Roy Evan - age 93, of Fenton, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Rockwell Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St., Fenton with Rev. E. Taveirne officiating. Private interment will be held at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton where a Masonic Memorial will be held 7 PM Monday evening. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Heart Association. Mr. MacMorran was born June 5, 1915 in Towanda, PA, the son of Charles Lewis and Tillie (Horton) MacMorran. He was a graduate of GMI (now Kettering University). Mr. MacMorran married his wife Edith on August 30, 1938 and she preceded him in death on December 29, 1989. He retired from Gar Wood Industries and had also been employed by General Motors as an engineer. Mr. MacMorran was a longtime member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Livonia and was currently a member of Fenton United Methodist Church. Left to cherish his memory are: three loving children, Kenneth MacMorran and wife, Sharon of Austin, TX, Jan Gray and husband, Don of Nashville, TN, Marcia Weigle of Fenton; six grandchildren, Melissa Bennis and husband, Sean, Bryan Weigle, Jason Weigle and wife, Meghan, Cory Weigle, Amy Chmielewski and husband, Berin, Holly Ross and husband, Mark; eight great-grandchildren, Brianna and Lexie Bennis, Gabe, Anna and Ben Weigle, Aubrey Chmielewski, Blake and Alexander Ross.
