Roy James Hamer

HAMER, Roy James - age 66, of Fenton (Tyrone Twp.), died Sunday, August 14, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held 2-5 and 7-9 PM Tuesday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Leukemia Foundation. Mr. Hamer was born April 14, 1939 in Detroit, the son of Roy Nelson and Glenna (Marker) Hamer. He has resided in Tyrone Township for 33 years. Mr. Hamer married Janice M. Stanford on October 18, 1958 in Northville. He was a graduate of Northville High School and Lawrence Technical University. Mr. Hamer was employed at the GM Proving Grounds in Milford as an electrical engineer. Surviving are: wife, Janice; daughter, Patricia Lynn and husband, Christopher Burke of Milford; son, Christopher Hamer and wife, Kristine of Grand Blanc; two grandchildren, A.J. and Miranda; brother, Carl Hamer of Hartland; several nieces and nephews.
