Roy Haddix

HADDIX, Roy Steven "Steve" - Age 55, of Flint, died Tuesday December 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Carl Petty officiating. Visitation will be held 11:00AM until time of service a the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Family C/O Sharp Funeral Homes. Steve was born in Tacoma, Washington on January 17, 1963, the son of Roy Reed and Martha Irene (Watts) Haddix. Mr. Haddix married Brenda Sue Marie Miller in Flint on March 19, 1994. Steve proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He worked for the City of Flint for 15 years and for MTA for 4 years. Steve coached youth football for Bendle community school for many years. He enjoyed bowling, and was an avid Detroit Lions and University of Michigan fan. Surviving are: wife of 24 years, Brenda Haddix; son, Steven Ryan Haddix; daughter Kerstyn Renee Haddix; brother, Jesse "Scott" Haddix; sister, Patrice (Leo) Foster and mother, Martha Irene Haddix all of Flint. Steve is also survived by his sister-in-law, Renee (Joshua) Bentley of Burton; brother-in-laws, Cecil (Cheryl) Miller of Flint, Eric (Kristy) Miller of Tawas, Bill (Tina) Owens of Flint and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Reed Haddix and Mother and Father-in-laws, Cecil and Paula Miller. Tribute may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
