Roy Thomas GRAMER, Sr.

GRAMER, Roy Thomas, Sr. - Age 88, of Linden, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, July 12, 2010 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Road, Howell, with Fr. Gregg Pleiness celebrating. Burial in St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden Saturday from 6-9 PM and Sunday from 1-9 PM. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home 7:00 PM Sunday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Gramer was born December 17, 1921 in Farmington, the son of Albert and May (Houghton) Gramer. He had resided in Linden since 1955 coming from Farmington. He married Emma Amburgey November 15, 1941 in Berkley. Mr. Gramer was a life long Dairy Farmer. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Michigan Milk Producer Association. Surviving are: wife, Emma; 6 children, Shirley and husband Carl Wright, Tom and wife Grace Gramer, Judy and husband Bud Coad, May and husband Duane Bartlett, Mary Jo and husband John Ciesielski and Albert and wife Tammy Gramer all of Linden; nephew, Bob and wife Diane Petrone of Florida; 22 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Don and wife Tina Gramer of Linden and Russell and wife Shirley Gramer of Howell; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ralph Gramer. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Genesys Infusion Clinic and Dr. Edgar and staff.
