ASHLEY, Roy Stephen - Age 70, of Linden, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden. Pastor Donald Neuville officiating. Burial in Argentine Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Those desiring may make contribution to the charity of your choice. Roy was born June 3, 1941 in Flint, the son of Francis Marion and Verna Ann (Bukowski) Ashley. He had resided in Linden his entire life. Roy was a self-employed concrete contractor. He was a member of the County Line Tractor Club and was an avid outdoorsman. Surviving are: 3 sons, Jeffery and wife Mina Ashley of Argentine, Timothy Ashley of Fenton, Scott Ashley of Fenton; 3 step children, Techa Spears of Howell, Lisa and husband Tim Myers of Troy, NC and Carl Ayliffe of Plymouth; 9 grandchildren; his former wives, Ann Rutherford of Flint and Jill Ashley of Howell; 3 brothers, Robert and wife Dean Ashley of Simi Valley, CA, Roger and wife Mary Ashley of Linden and Walter J.
