Ross Wood

WOOD, Ross Jerome- Age Age 68, of Swartz Creek, died June 10, 2016. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, June 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-8 PM and Wednesday from 12-8 PM. Ross was born April 6, 1948 in Flint, the son of Carl and Lorraine (Steinbrecher) Wood. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in Flint. He married Sharon M. Ammerman on January 20, 1979. Ross was a retired truck driver for McLaren Hospital. He loved the Red Wings, classic rock, playing Yahtzee, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sharon; children, Christopher (Melissa) Wood, Heather Wood, Kevin (Ashley) Wood; grandchildren, Jacob, Isabella, Avery, Kaden, Tara, and Tyler; siblings, Dave, Joe, Alan, Sandy, and Becky; also survived by Mary Jo (Schulz) Headrick, mother of Christopher; several nieces and nephews and many good friends.
