Rosie Lee Miller- Louden, born on October 10, 1936, in Wyatt, Missouri to Richard and Leada Reed departed this life, Sunday, July 30, 2023. Rosie was a sweet, loving and giving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her warm smile and Godly spirit were just a couple of her many qualities. Shortly after birth the family, including her two brothers and two sisters, Milton, Lilly Pearl, Bernice, and Willie, moved to the Richmond, CA area. She was instrumental in introducing the family to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. After attending the Adventist Academy in Redford, California she moved to Flint, Michigan with her sister, Lillie Pearl. Later continuing her educational studies at Mott Community College. In 1956 Rosie married Ozell Miller, who passed away in 1990. She married Otis Louden, a dear family friend, in 2000 and they were married for 21 years until his passing in 2021. She had 6 children, Michael, Gregory, Gary, Andrea, Lorna, and Carmen. 

Rosie held a variety of positions in her lifetime from working for the Mott Foundation, serving as Librarian at Mount Morris Elementary School to Nursing Assistant/Pharmacy Technician at Saint Joseph Hospital/Genesys Regional Medical Center, where she retired in the 1990’s, following 23 years of service. Rosie joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church as a teenager. After moving to Michigan, she attended North Street SDA Church, now Fairhaven SDA Church and was a faithful member for 69 years. In those years she served as a Children’s Sabbath School teacher, a Vacation Bible School volunteer, a Deaconess, a member of the Good Cheer Group, now the Federated Kings Daughters and many other church auxiliaries. 

She leaves in God’s care: her children, Michael (Konnie) Hopson of Surprise, AZ, Andrea (Michael) Jones of Charlotte, NC, Lorna Scott of Flint, MI, Carmen Miller of Flint, MI; Daughter-In-Law, Cindy Miller of Flint, MI; Grandchildren: Michael, Jermaine (Jamie), Antoine (Katie), Lamont and Joseph Miller, Gary Robert, Krishelle, Micayla, Michelle, Crystal, Elijah, and Ieshia. Eleven Great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Reed, mother, Leada (Reed) Rogers-Johnson, husbands Ozell Miller, Otis Louden, sons, Gary Miller, Gregory Miller, and grandchildren, Patrina Scott, and Michael. 

A funeral service will take place 12:00 PM, Friday, August 4, 2023 at Flint Fairhaven Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1379 W. Louis Ave, Flint MI 48505. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc and again on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service Friday at Church.
